About The Position

We are seeking a Principal QA Automation Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial for enhancing our team's capacity to deliver assigned stories by the end of each sprint. You will be responsible for providing end-to-end QA supervision for a portfolio of projects, ensuring successful delivery within budget and adherence to best practices. This position involves continuous research and experimentation with new tools and frameworks to create more value for client engagements, as well as improving established processes and documentation for all teams regarding quality assurance. You will also communicate expectations, manage escalations, and provide a growth and development structure to team members. Developing testing standards, analyzing testing metrics, and implementing new tools and processes are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will conduct recruiting interviews, analyze candidates, and assist in optimizing the hiring process. A significant part of the role involves developing detailed testing strategies, including technical planning, subtasking, research, contingency plans, and release criteria, to build confidence with agile teams and client stakeholders. The role is categorized as Remote, with team members potentially living in El Salvador, Mexico, or Colombia. Requirements

  • Demonstrable proficiency with desired technologies and tools
  • Deep expertise in developing and maintaining end-to-end test frameworks using Selenium or Playwright
  • Expertise using Selenium or Playwright with C# and .NET or Java
  • Strong proficiency in CI/CD integration of automated tests using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps, including parallel execution, test reporting, and environment management
  • Experience testing up a test automation framework from scratch
  • Additional knowledge and experience in AI assisted development and testing (Claude Code, Cursor, CoPilot etc.)
  • 8-11+ years professional experience in relevant technology and projects, including ongoing adherence of best practices, leading and executing automated testing for web and mobile applications, and leveraging industry-standard tools to ensure optimal product quality across all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience presenting to client stakeholders and communicating technical and business value
  • Experience understanding and articulating the business outcomes that your development projects impact
  • Mentorship Experience: Experience with coaching and mentoring, demonstrated through ad-hoc collaboration and structured code reviews.

  • Eliminate Ambiguity: Develop detailed testing strategies that build confidence with the agile team and client stakeholders, including technical planning, rigorous subtasking, advance research, contingency plans, release criteria, etc.
  • Ensuring the team understands acceptance criteria, tracking daily progress, limit team’s QA kickback, deliver stories as assigned, find opportunities to increase capacity and velocity.
