About The Position

This role involves planning, initiating, and managing information technology (IT) projects, leading and guiding technical staff, and ensuring project execution adheres to budget, schedule, and scope. The position requires managing project personnel, monitoring milestones, and initiating modifications to project plans. It also involves collaborating with account teams to scope services projects, creating Statements of Work (SOW) and cost plans with finance and legal, and leading cross-functional teams to ensure customer success and satisfaction. The role includes creating, maintaining, and tracking project plans, schedules, activities, and issues, driving project tasks to completion, and proactively identifying and resolving issues. Additionally, it involves managing and prioritizing resources, fostering collaboration, and providing leadership and conflict resolution within the team. Contribution to best practices and efficiency improvements is also expected. Some telecommuting is permitted.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a related occupation.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, PowerPoint to track and report progress for project milestones
  • Manage customer technical engagements including deployment of new technology, or paid services engagements, ensuring alignment with customer on deliverables and associated timelines and tracking progress
  • Manage 3-5 customer engagements in parallel and work with multiple customers in multiple regions across various technology domains, managing engagements as described above
  • Effective matrix management of resources working on a project/engagement and effective use of JIRA, MS tools, CoPilot to manage activity for individuals working on multiple deliverables across multiple customer projects and multiple Cadence products/business units
  • Background in electronics and experience working with customers in a technology-based environment
  • Product release management utilizing CRM tools such as SAP, JIRA or Salesforce

Responsibilities

  • Plan, initiate, and manage information technology (IT) projects.
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems.
  • Monitor or track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Initiate, review, or approve modifications to project plans.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings related to IT projects.
  • Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel.
  • Work closely with the account teams to scope out services projects.
  • Create a Statement of Work (SOW) and cost plans in collaboration with the technical leads and other organizations within Cadence including Cadence Finance and Legal.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that all deliverables are successfully managed, executed, monitored, and controlled such that Customer success and satisfaction are achieved.
  • Create, maintain, and track project plans and schedules, activities, and issues associated with customer engagements.
  • Drive project tasks to completion in accordance with schedule, scope and cost constraints and report status and other metrics related to the project activity.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve issues.
  • Manage and set priorities for resources across teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for teams supporting the project.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to the cross-functional team while resolving internal conflicts.
  • Contribute to best practices and efficiency improvements for operations/processes.
