About The Position

UiPath is seeking a Principal Product Manager to advance its Agentic Automation vision by enabling enterprises to see, trust, and govern agents running on UiPath and other platforms. The role spans agent traces and observability, agent identity, and governance. It will define product approaches for agent OpenTelemetry, cross-platform trace exchange, delegated agent permissions, and policy and audit for non-deterministic systems. This is a hands-on, high-agency role focused on product direction and delivery rather than managing headcount. The successful candidate will work directly with product details, traces, customers, forward-deployed engineers, and coding agents, and translate discoveries into direction for engineering teams. The goal is for every production agent to be visible, attributable, and governable, with useful debugging, cost data, and accountability.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in technical product management or engineering, emphasizing observability, developer platforms, identity, security, or applied agentic AI.
  • A proven record of shipping infrastructure used by builders and platform teams.
  • Hands-on experience building observability, telemetry, tracing, or governance products.
  • Experience designing systems that capture, correlate, and act on signals across many services.
  • Deep fluency in agentic AI, including models, tool calling, MCP/A2A, coding agents, agent design patterns, evaluations, and observability.
  • Ability to inspect an agent trace, identify what went wrong, and determine how the trace could be improved.
  • Working knowledge of service identities, delegated permissions, OAuth, and audit, and how these concepts apply to agents.
  • A builder's posture and bias for action, including writing code or using coding agents to test ideas and create prototypes.
  • First-principles thinking and comfort with ambiguity, with the ability to reach a defensible direction quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing persuasive position documents, explaining technical concepts to skeptical architects, and delivering effective demos.
  • Comfort working in regulated, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building observability, telemetry, identity, security, or agent platform products at a frontier lab, hyperscaler, observability vendor, or automation vendor.
  • Early product management experience at a startup in the relevant space.
  • Experience taking a product from 0 to 1.
  • Startup or founding product manager experience; strongly preferred.
  • A well-supported point of view on how enterprises will observe and govern agents over the next 24 months.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on and help drive the multi-year vision for agentic observability and governance across the UiPath platform and external agents.
  • Own agent traces end to end, including their schema, completeness, quality, cost accuracy, token usage, and LLM configuration data.
  • Build observability integrations with other platforms and ecosystems, including OpenTelemetry export and import and Microsoft Agent 365.
  • Bring UiPath services and teams onto the trace infrastructure so traces cover the entire platform.
  • Manage intake, prioritization, and coordination for trace requests across the company.
  • Own agent identity so each agent and run maps to an owner, the user represented, and the permissions used.
  • Serve as the Agents team's counterpart to platform governance, ensuring traces and identity support policy, audit, alerting, and controls such as a kill switch.
  • Partner with large and demanding customers, including regulated-industry customers, on production deployments.
  • Build and use agents, inspect their traces, connect exports to observability tools, and prototype with coding agents.
  • Translate developments in OpenTelemetry GenAI conventions, agent observability vendors, identity standards, and AI governance regulation into a coherent product direction.
  • Define and prioritize metrics such as trace coverage and completeness, cost accuracy, time to diagnose failures, and the share of agents with clear ownership and identity.
  • Represent UiPath's agent observability and governance story to customers, partners, and industry forums.
