About The Position

Prime Video is a leading entertainment platform offering a vast collection of premium programming across numerous devices. Prime members can personalize their viewing and discover movies, series, documentaries, and live sports. Customers can also rent or buy titles from the Prime Video Store and access free content with ads. This role is for an experienced Principal Product Manager to manage the media pipeline, responsible for services that receive, review, and process video and audio content from partners to ensure high quality for customers. The position involves deploying AI tools to inspect content and identify issues. The ideal candidate will be data-savvy, strategic, and analytical, focusing on the content licensing technology within the supply chain. This cross-functional role requires defining and executing product strategies for defect reduction and timely delivery of high-quality video content. Collaboration with data science, engineering, operations, other product managers, and executive teams is essential for bringing products to market, developing business opportunities, and enhancing platform capabilities. The duties include formulating business vision, gathering requirements from internal customers and end-users, and translating them into technical specifications for robust, scalable solutions. The Product Manager serves as the technical and business lead throughout the development lifecycle, including scoping, planning, conceptualizing, designing, testing, documenting, and shipping the product, while considering tech debt, scalability, performance, latency, and compatibility with technology and business goals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience technical product management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
  • Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute toward the long-term strategy for the digital supply chain
  • Work closely with data science and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver the roadmap
  • Working closely with Business Intelligence to analyze business trends and make data-backed decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other product managers, partner management, and leadership to influence and drive the long-term strategy
  • Create business requirements, develop solutions, and socialize them across functions and teams
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle
