About The Position

GEICO is undergoing a multi-year technology transformation to reimagine the customer experience in the Insurance industry. This role is part of the newly formed AI Experience team and will be responsible for strategizing, developing, and enhancing the consumer journey through digital products. The Principal Product Manager will work cross-functionally to guide complex products from conception to launch, connecting the product vision with solutions to business and customer problems. This involves breaking down complex problems to drive product development, modernizing experiences and platforms, and leapfrogging the competition. The role requires partnering with engineering, operations, sales, design, and other product teams to reimagine and build GEICO’s Digital Experience across the entire policy lifecycle. The individual will be a single-threaded owner driving end-to-end experience across mobile app/web/desktop platforms, platform-agnostic across all business lines. This position is key to driving GEICO's digital transformation within a growing Product Organization, working in cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge technologies, foster innovation, and ensure seamless integration of digital solutions. This position is a hybrid role based in either the San Francisco Bay area or the Greater Washington DC Metropolitan (DMV) area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 10+ years of experience in Product Management building complex software and technology products with a proven record of accomplishment at large scale.
  • 3+ years owning AI/ML or GenAI products in sustained production, with direct accountability for model outcomes, quality, and business impact.
  • Hands-on experience delivering AI-powered platforms or experiences at enterprise scale, working closely with applied scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams to operationalize LLMs, retrieval/RAG, decisioning, or agentic workflows.
  • Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of the AI product lifecycle, including problem framing, data strategy, experimentation, model evaluation metrics, risk/controls, and post-launch iteration in regulated or high-trust environments.
  • Experience in building consumer-facing online and mobile app products with a strong customer focus and ownership mindset.
  • Builder in mindset with proven experience in managing all aspects of building products throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery to scaling.
  • Experience using quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions and drive change.

Responsibilities

  • Building complex conversational AI and Chatbot experiences and features at large scale.
  • Defining and executing a multi-year unified vision in close partnership with business and engineering teams.
  • Leading cross-functional teams that drive results during product discovery and product delivery.
  • Synthesizing business, market, and platform data to identify opportunities, size them, and turn insights into product vision, strategy and requirements.
  • Owning and prioritizing short term and long-term product roadmap to deliver on business outcomes, working closely with a cross-functional team to ensure that all the right resources are aligned for success.
  • Partnering with the UX team to drive a stellar customer experience.
  • Working with stakeholders to create, prioritize, and execute the product roadmap related to the entire lifecycle of policy experience.
  • Leveraging modern architecture & great design to identify problem-solution fit.
  • Evaluating trade-offs and negotiating requirements.
  • Creating and using compelling, informative artifacts to influence stakeholders (e.g., Vision, Roadmaps, Features/Epics, Progress Updates).
  • Understanding of current and future state architecture.
  • Identifying and measuring KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), with an eye to adjusting and refining the roadmap as data dictates.
  • Mentoring other Product Managers and helping build a high-performing product organization.
