About The Position

The Principal People Experience Partner plays a critical role in supporting leaders and employees while reinforcing a strong, consistent people experience. This role ensures that day-to-day people needs are met with care, clarity, and accountability, enabling teams to do their best work while working with leaders to drive the overall functional and Work Authorization AspenTech will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. Work Location: AspenTech has a global hybrid workplace for most of our roles. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 yrs HR or People Partner experience
  • Strong foundation in employee relations and manager coaching
  • Experience supporting multi-site or growing organizations
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with sound judgment and empathy
  • Experience in fast-paced or scaling environments
  • Exposure to global or regional HR support
  • Familiarity with HRIS and people data tools
  • Trusted partner with strong relationship-building skills
  • Clear, thoughtful communicator
  • Practical problem-solver with a people-first mindset
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and change

Responsibilities

  • Support the organization as a People Experience Partner, working in close collaboration with the Sr HR Manager for the America's as the primary functional partner for our Houston office location.
  • Partner with Global HR Business Partners for the Technology and Revenue Organization on local priorities and initiatives.
  • Partner with managers on day-to-day people matters, including performance management, employee relations, and team effectiveness.
  • Escalate themes, risks, and complex matters to the Sr Human Resources Manager as appropriate.
  • Coach managers on people practices, manager capability, and effective team leadership.
  • Act as the local site lead for the Houston, TX location, serving as the primary People Experience presence onsite.
  • Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from onboarding through exit, ensuring a thoughtful and consistent experience for site-based employees.
  • Act as an employee advocate while balancing business needs and organizational policies.
  • Reinforce company values and foster an inclusive, respectful workplace culture.
  • Support performance management cycles, goal setting, and development planning.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs, onboarding, and workforce planning.
  • Identify talent risks and opportunities, escalating insights to People Experience leadership.
  • Ensure people practices align with company policies and employment laws.
  • Partner closely with People Services / HR Operations to execute people processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and leverage data to inform people decisions.
  • Collaborate with People Experience Partners, People Services, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards.
  • Support initiatives driven by the People Experience leadership team.
