Reporting to the VP of Talent, you will lead three interconnected areas: People Analytics, AI Enablement, and HR Technology. You will help move the People Team from reactive reporting to proactive intelligence, from disconnected tools to an integrated people technology ecosystem, and from manual processes to AI-enabled workflows that improve productivity and decision quality. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, technical curiosity, business acumen, and a bias for action. You will partner across People, Finance, Engineering, IT, and business leadership to build capabilities that help Remitly make smarter decisions about talent, teams, and organizational growth. We are looking for a Lead, People Analytics to help build the next generation of the People Team at Remitly. As Remitly continues to grow as a global, AI-enabled, multi-product company, we believe the future of People Analytics extends well beyond reporting and dashboards. We are looking for a builder—someone who can help us rethink how we use data, AI, and technology to improve decision-making, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and scale the People function. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in People Analytics, Workforce Analytics, HR Technology, People Operations, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success building analytics capabilities and translating data into decisions that drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience leading HR technology, data integration, reporting, or systems transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Hands-on experience applying AI, automation, or advanced analytics to improve business processes or decision-making.
  • Experience working in a high-growth technology, fintech, or scaling environment preferred.
  • Builder mindset with a passion for creating new capabilities and improving how work gets done.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect people data to business outcomes.
  • Comfortable working across strategy, analytics, technology, and change management—often simultaneously.
  • AI-curious and technology-forward, with practical experience applying emerging tools to real business challenges.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills; able to translate technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity, a bias for action, and strong judgment around responsible data and AI practices.

Responsibilities

  • Remitly’s People Analytics strategy, evolving the function from reporting and dashboards to predictive and prescriptive decision support.
  • Partner with leaders to identify the highest-impact workforce questions and translate them into clear, actionable insights.
  • Develop models and analytics that improve decision-making across retention, engagement, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent management.
  • Establish trusted, scalable self-service reporting and analytics capabilities for People and business leaders.
  • Connect people insights to business outcomes, productivity, and organizational performance.
  • Partner with People leaders to identify opportunities where AI can automate routine work, augment decision-making, and improve employee experiences.
  • Launch and scale AI pilots across People functions, including Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Total Rewards, and People Partners.
  • Help define how Remitly measures and manages productive capacity across employees, contingent workers, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Drive adoption through thoughtful change management, clear governance, and practical use cases that create measurable value.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on the future of work, helping leaders understand how AI is reshaping roles, skills, and organizational design.
  • Partner with IT, Engineering, and vendors to improve system integrations, data infrastructure, and user experience.
  • Establish governance practices that improve trust in people data and create a strong foundation for analytics and AI.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend investments that improve efficiency, insight generation, and employee experience.
  • Ensure People systems evolve alongside business needs and support long-term scalability.
  • Partner closely with People Partners, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, People Operations, and International Mobility to solve complex business challenges with data.
  • Influence leaders through data, insights, and clear recommendations that improve organizational outcomes.
  • Build strong partnerships across Finance, Engineering, IT, Legal, and Compliance to ensure scalable and responsible solutions.
  • Champion responsible AI practices that prioritize transparency, governance, privacy, and human judgment.
