About The Position

SPS helps condominium communities make confident, well-informed decisions about their aging buildings and shared property. With nearly 40 years of experience in exterior restoration and building envelope projects, SPS partners with condominiums and property managers to plan and execute long-term solutions that protect property values and support the community's future. SPS is offering a fast-tracked leadership succession opportunity. We have established a strong foundation in the Northern California Bay Area—anchored by a highly visible, $75M project—and we are looking for an elite business development leader to drive this market expansion and eventually ascend to a national leadership role. We operate on the principles of Jim Collins’ Good to Great— getting the right people on the bus to drive exceptional, predictable results.

Requirements

  • Consistently exceed targets and are highly accustomed to navigating complex, 7- to 8-figure, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • An established, trusted network within the California real estate, property management, or commercial insurance ecosystem.
  • A Level 5 Leader in the making; desire to build a market, mentor a team, and run a division.
  • Process-driven discipline, relying on data and strategy.
  • Excel at pipeline management, CRM activity tracking, and executing daily inputs to guarantee outputs.
  • Deep knowledge of (and passion for) buildings, the construction industry, and the unique dynamics of condominium communities.
  • Self-motivated and highly effective at managing your own schedule.
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate evening board meetings or local travel to walk through properties with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Source, qualify, and secure planning engagements ("SPS Savings BluePrints") for large-scale condominium projects, averaging 200+ townhomes.
  • Build the regional playbook, hire and train your replacement in California, and elevate to oversee SPS business development at the national level within 1-3 years.
  • Systematically secure the 10 Savings BluePrint planning engagements per year required to fuel our project management teams.
  • Penetrate the market by establishing high-level, direct referral channels with regional leaders at top property management firms.
  • Organize and lead guided tours for prospective clients to demonstrate the scale and quality of our execution.
  • Manage complex, multi-stakeholder deals, guiding clients through a collaborative 12-to-18-month engagement.
  • Build strategic relationships with trade associations and deliver high-value education on structural longevity and capital reserve preservation.
  • Collaborate directly with our leadership team in Needham, MA (quarterly visits required).
  • Align regional success with corporate strategy, actively preparing to scale your playbook and impact across the organization.
