Mass General Brigham relies on a wide range of professionals, including doctors, nurses, business people, tech experts, researchers, and systems analysts to advance our mission. As a not-for-profit, we support patient care, research, teaching, and community service, striving to provide exceptional care. We believe that high-performing teams drive groundbreaking medical discoveries and invite all applicants to join us and experience what it means to be part of Mass General Brigham. The Principal plays a pivotal leadership role in the Strategy team, with responsibility for managing complex, high-impact projects that span institutions, service lines, and corporate functions. The role requires leading teams, engaging senior stakeholders, and translating business challenges into strategic solutions that drive system performance and growth. This role operates similarly to a consulting engagement leader within Mass General Brigham. Principals are expected to independently structure ambiguous problems, work independently and lead small teams through hypothesis-driven analysis, and translate insights into clear executive recommendations. The role requires the ability to move fluidly across strategic topics (e.g., being fluent across various healthcare subsectors, being able to assess new organic businesses, partnerships, M&A, and being able to make linkages to enterprise strategy and stakeholder engagement) while maintaining a high bar for analytical rigor, executive communication, and team leadership.
