About The Position

Northrop Grumman Advanced Weapons is seeking a data-driven Logistics Management Analyst 3 to join their team. The Logistics Management Analyst 3 will be responsible for the optimization of their defense supply chain that supports defense and government program execution for the Northridge, CA location. This position is required to be full-time, on-site between the Northridge, CA locations. No remote/telework arrangement is available for this position. Applicants must have the ability to obtain a US Department of War (DoW) Secret Clearance. As the Logistics Management Analyst 3, you will analyze day-to-day provisioning, track critical military assets, and ensure compliance with strict federal regulations. You will collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and government stakeholders to deliver mission-critical defense projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, or equivalent with 5+ years of logistics experience, preferably within a defense contracting or military supply room environment. 3 years of experience are required with a MS degree. 9 years of experience are required in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Hands-on experience with DoD logistics and accounting databases or equivalent ERP networks
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience generating and processing standard military documentation (e.g., DD1149, DD1348, DD250).
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments, including non-climate-controlled warehouses
  • Ability to obtain a US Department of War (DoW) Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Comprehensive, working knowledge of FAR and Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) protocols.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Lean Six Sigma.
  • HAZMAT / HAZWOPER certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Accountable Property Systems of Record (APSR) to oversee lifecycle tracking, cyclic inventories, and the disposition of government-furnished property.
  • Conduct complex inventory, distribution, and network studies to identify bottlenecks and develop cost-effective delivery strategies.
  • Extract data from military transportation and business intelligence systems to generate daily performance metrics, reports, and dashboards.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Department of Defense (DoD) instructions, and international shipping guidelines.
  • Research and draft Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) packets for missing or damaged military equipment.
  • Serve as the logistics point of contact for external military units, freight forwarders, and internal program management teams.
