About The Position

Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Principal-level Environmental Geologist or Engineer for our Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will act as the Irvine Division’s technical lead, play a key role in growing Ninyo & Moore’s environmental consulting business, and perform both business development and technical consulting activities. This role involves promoting personal technical reputation and the Ninyo & Moore brand, supporting client development and high-level consulting efforts, and contributing to a results-driven, growth-oriented environment with competitive compensation.

Requirements

B.S. degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
California PG, PE, or GE license (required)
Results-driven, self-motivated California-licensed Professional Geologist or Engineer (PE or PG)
15+ years of experience, preferably with an environmental engineering services consulting firm
Experience with NEPA/CEQA and Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs)
Strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
Expertise in regulatory compliance
Expertise in Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Expertise in environmental remediation
Expertise in emergency construction support for contaminated sites
Expertise in environmental issues including air, wastewater, and hazardous waste
Experience attending shortlist and interview presentations for major environmental clients
Ability to perform as an Expert Witness
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
