About The Position

The Principal Java API Automation Engineer leads the development and implementation of automation frameworks and performs extensive API testing to ensure seamless integration. The role applies Java and Rest Assured for robust testing, SQL for database validation, and AWS Cloud knowledge for testing cloud-based applications and distributed systems. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams globally to deliver high-quality software solutions in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in QA, including functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Extensive background in API testing and automation.
• Hands-on automation experience with frameworks such as Selenium and JUnit/TestNG, and API testing tools such as Postman and Rest Assured.
• Strong expertise in validating RESTful APIs, including schema validation, contract testing, performance testing, and test data design.
• Good knowledge of SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with AWS Cloud environments and services, including SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
• Experience testing cloud-based applications and distributed systems.
• Experience creating test strategies, plans, and documentation for complex, cross-platform applications in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with multiple teams globally.
• Cooperative approach and dedication to achieving outstanding outcomes.
