About The Position

The Principal HRIS Analyst will serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert in the design, implementation, and optimization of HR systems and processes, with deep specialization in Workday HCM. This role will lead cross-functional initiatives and enterprise-wide HR technology solutions, ensuring data integrity, operational excellence, and continuous innovation across all Human Resource functions — including emerging AI-powered HR tools and digital adoption platforms. Serve as a primary IT partner to Human Resources function on critical HR projects and cross team initiatives involving HR technology and solutions. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable system solutions. Serve as the primary Workday HCM subject matter expert, owning end-to-end configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Core HR, Recruiting, Talent, and related modules. Lead Workday automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Own the HRIS Change Management process, managing the full workflow from request intake through build, testing, UAT, and IT approval using JIRA or equivalent tools. Execute Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) data loads for compensation changes, job changes, position management, requisitions, and other mass data transactions. Manage Workday security roles and access provisioning for global stakeholders, ensuring compliance with data privacy and audit requirements. Drive configuration and support of cyclical HR processes including performance reviews, compensation planning, talent management, and recruiting operations. Develop and maintain Workday reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making across HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, FP&A, and HR Business Partners. Evaluate and implement emerging HR technologies including AI-powered tools, Conversational AI platforms, and digital adoption solutions such as WalkMe. Serve as a mentor and escalation point for junior analysts and HRIS team members. Lead or contribute to enterprise-wide projects such as M&A integrations, global rollouts, and process redesigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive HRIS experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or principal analyst role.
  • Deep expertise in Workday HCM modules including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, and Security.
  • Hands-on experience with EIB data loads, Workday report building, and security administration.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale HRIS projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA) for change request management.
  • Familiarity with integration tools (e.g., EIB, Workday Studio).
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX).
  • Experience with agile methodologies and HR process automation.
  • AI/ML exposure — practical experience with Generative AI or LLMs applied to HR use cases.
