About The Position

Micron Technology is seeking a Principal Engineer to contribute to their vision of transforming how the world uses information. This role is crucial for innovating memory and storage solutions, specifically by supporting Micron Solid State Drive (SSD) Enterprise ASIC development, bring up, and validation. The Principal Engineer will be an expert in implementing and debugging the Synopsys HAPs pre-silicon ASIC prototyping flow, requiring domain expertise in PCIe Gen5 & Gen6, LPDDR4/5, and ARC HS/EM CPU. Key responsibilities include automating pre and post silicon ASIC validation flows to reduce validation time before firmware handoff, providing support for LPDDR4/5 interface bring up in collaboration with Cadence Design Systems, and working with Synopsys and the US team for ARC CPU bring up and issue debugging in ASIC.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
• 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in an Engineering-related occupation
• Synopsys HAPs prototyping platform
• Xilinx/Altera FPGAs
• System level debug
• Hardware and Software interaction
• Software development
• Using Oscilloscope and Logic Analyzer

Responsibilities

• Perform Synopsys HAPs pre-silicon ASIC prototyping flow - expert implementation and debugging
• Support Micron Solid State Drive (SSD) Enterprise ASIC development, bring up and validation with domain expertise on PCIe Gen5 & Gen6, LPDDR4/5, ARC HS/EM CPU
• Perform pre and post silicon ASIC Validation flow automation - to reduce time for validating functionality before the handoff to firmware
• Provide support for LPDDR4/5 interface bring up - working with Cadence Design Systems to develop application driver to work with ASIC for address/data levelling to get to maximum design speed as per specification
• Work with Synopsys for ARC CPU bring up in ASIC along with US team and debug issues encountered
