About The Position

Tuvoli is seeking a Principal Engineer to drive the architecture and delivery of critical platform initiatives. This is a hands-on role with significant technical influence across the organization.

You will play a key role in evolving our platform—balancing the needs of a growing production system while modernizing and re-architecting components to support scalability, performance, and future growth. This includes improving existing systems while building new features and services.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite in Nashua, NH.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including designing and building scalable systems
• Strong system design and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead complex efforts across teams in a fast-paced environment
• High ownership mindset with attention to detail and quality
• Self-motivated and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach that fosters a strong engineering culture
• Front End: Angular (vX+), Typescript
• Backend: Node.JS (NestJS / Express)
• Infrastructure: AWS (Lambda / ECS / RDS)
• Data: MongoDB Atlas, SQL Server
• Payment integrations: Stripe, Treasury Prime, Quickbooks

Responsibilities

• Own and drive critical initiatives from architecture through delivery, often leading efforts that span multiple engineers or teams
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance systems, setting technical direction and best practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship through influence, guiding engineers and elevating team standards
• Contribute hands-on to the codebase, solving complex technical challenges and ensuring high-quality output
