About The Position

The Principal Electro-Optics Test Software Development Engineer is an experienced member of the new product development and introduction team, bridging prototype concepts and delivery of electro-optic products from R&D to manufacturing. The role develops automated test software, instrumentation solutions, and test methods for certification testing of SubCom’s undersea electro-optic network elements. It includes planning, platform development, and innovation across multiple products and production test sets, as well as developing new test sets and test methods. The position reports to the Director of Certification Test Engineering. The engineer provides technical leadership for automated test systems and supports the transfer of new products, test software, and qualification processes into manufacturing. The role also supports production testing, improves test development practices, mentors engineers and technicians, and works across engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain product quality, reliability, and throughput.
