Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector Test Engineering organization is seeking a Principal Antenna Test Software Engineer to be an instrumental part of Northrop Grumman's Antenna Test Development Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline with 5+ Years of relevant experience; or 3+ Years with Masters; or 0 Years with PhD
  • Professional software development experience using languages such as Matlab, C++, Python, etc.
  • Leadership experience through mentoring and/or team leadership
  • Current Active Interim Secret Clearance, with ability to obtain/maintain SAP.
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Current Active Secret clearance with SAP
  • Software development experience with RF and antenna systems
  • Test software development experience in a nearfield and/or compact antenna range
  • RF test experience and/or antenna test/range experience
  • Familiarity with RF and antenna theory
  • Professional software development experience using MATLAB
  • Professional software architecture experience
  • Professional leadership experience leading software teams through software development projects
  • Experience with electrical and/or RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, power meter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Test software architecture and development related to phased array testing
  • Test software architecture and development for automating test processes and data analysis
  • Lead test software development teams across multiple software projects
  • Mentor early career engineers
  • Define software requirements based on product test requirements
  • Develop test plans and lead software integration efforts
  • Support production test and lead troubleshooting efforts
  • Collaborate with design engineering for hardware and test improvements
  • Maintain sensitivity to cost, schedule and quality as well as Northrop Grumman policies and procedures
