Principal Electrical Subsystem Architect

RTX•Tucson, AZ
•$107,500 - $204,500•Onsite

About The Position

The Advanced Effectors Guidance Systems Department within Raytheon Hardware Engineering provides electrical systems engineering for electronic systems across Raytheon’s portfolio. The department’s work includes architecture, requirements, integration, and test, spanning RF/RADAR, navigation/IMU/GPS, data link/communications, digital, and power technologies. The Principal Electrical Subsystem Architect will lead architecture development for next-generation missile guidance, control, and sensing electronics. The role defines and drives technical direction for high-reliability power conditioning, energy delivery, and precision analog subsystems operating in extreme missile environments. The architect evaluates, matures, and guides designs from early conceptual modeling through detailed design, integration, and transition to production. The position emphasizes system trades, quantifiable decision-making, and application of real-world behaviors and military/aerospace specifications. This is an onsite position in Tucson, Arizona. An active and transferable U.S. government Secret clearance is required before starting and must be active on day one; U.S. citizenship is required. Relocation may be offered based on candidate eligibility. The stated salary range is $107,500–$204,500. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits and incentive compensation, subject to the terms described in the posting.
