About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join their Technology and Digital team. This role involves planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for data, systems, and networks, both on-premise and in the cloud. The engineer will guide team members in troubleshooting security and network problems, respond to security breaches, and ensure the organization's data and infrastructure are protected by appropriate security controls. Responsibilities include evaluating security needs, establishing best practices, designing and maintaining security measures, overseeing incident response, troubleshooting issues, leading penetration testing, and ensuring the safety of the organization's infrastructure and data. The estimated salary range for this position is $144,738.24 - $188,159.71 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree.
  • 8+ years of work experience producing clean quality code in one more OOP language: Java, .NET, Python, or JavaScript frameworks.
  • Demonstrate familiarity in cloud security deployment and implementation issues (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with manually auditing source code to find security issues or programming skills.
  • Proven ability to understand, replicate, remediate OWASP TOP 10 vulnerabilities & impact (proxies such as Burp, ZAP, Fiddler).
  • Experience defining security architecture standards in an enterprise organization and common API security risks, OAuth, and JSON Web Token (JWT).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and containerized architecture.
  • Experience in all facets of information security operations, including vulnerability management, risk management, computer and network security, authentication & authorization, security protocols, and applied cryptography.
  • Experience in guiding others to implement and support information security policies and procedures and security practices for company-wide computing and networking systems.
  • Ability to train others in security procedures and incident resolution.
  • Minimum Required Experience: 8 Years

Nice To Haves

  • Plus Certifications: OSCP, CSSLP, GWAPT, CISSP, eWPT, CEH, or similar security cert.
  • Mobile App Pen Testing experience is a plus.

  • Guide others in conducting testing and scans to identify any vulnerabilities in the network and system.
