About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is looking for a Principal Contracts Administrator based out of Linthicum, MD. This position is for on-site/in-office every day and offers a 9/80 schedule. The Contracts Administrator will join a team supporting the Longbow Fire Control Radar AN/APG-78 program in the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Division, Advanced Systems (AS) Operating Unit (OU). The successful candidate will work closely with the Program team, including Program Management, Business Management, and Global Supply Chain. The Contracts Administrator will act as the primary interface with business partners and prime/USG customers contract administration, contract change management, and proposal preparation/negotiation. The Contract Administrator will manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additionally, the Contract Administrator will ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood, ensure fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information. This individual must have the ability to meet high-performance expectations in a very dynamic environment. Excellent communication is a must as the selected candidate will be directly involved in negotiations with the customer as a strategic team member. Our team is looking for someone who wants to grow and get experience with both USG and prime customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. supply chain management, financial management) - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of experience in contracts or related field (i.e. supply chain management, financial management)
  • Will accept 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS.
  • Experience working with different contract types.
  • Experience analyzing regulatory changes and their impact on contracts/subcontracts.
  • US Citizenship Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Current/active US Government Secret security clearance
  • Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense Industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Experience with USG and Prime customers.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification, and all other potential risk areas and recommending risk mitigation strategies.
  • Developing solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs under guidance from team lead and management.
  • Assisting management in achieving financial goals related to cash management and sales.
  • Preparing written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
  • Maintaining contract data into the Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of all contractual deliverables.
