Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal/ Sr Principal Contract Administrator. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) Ground Base Strategic Deterrent program.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Experience with pricing principles and FAR/DFARS as well as associated Federal Contracting regulations.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting briefings to senior level internal & external customers.
  • Experience with managing cost plus type contracts.

  • Ability to work independently and make independent decisions, ensuring high levels of collaboration with stakeholder and subject matter experts.
  • Familiarity with Northrop Grumman Contracts processes and procedures.
  • Active DoD Secret or Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as primary interface with customer for contractual issues.
  • Monitors contract and associated program to ensure that contractual obligations are communicated and understood.
  • Participates in contract proposal preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration, and customer contract activities to manage assigned contracts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Works under general supervision to develop solutions to both routine and complex contractual matters to ensure company compliance with contract requirements on assigned programs.
  • Ensures fulfillment of contract requirements, manage contract changes, and maintain historical information.
  • Reviews terms and conditions to address provisions and risks of financial terms, acceptance criteria, delivery requirements, warranty, intellectual property, termination provisions, indemnification and all other potential risk areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Prepares and manages written communications with internal and external customers for assigned contractual matters.
  • Enters and maintains contract data into Contract Management System and/or Enterprise Accounting System.
  • Ensures timely delivery of all contractual deliverables.
  • Develops contractual solutions to a variety of complex problems.
  • Performs complex tasks and participates in determining objectives of assignment. Plans schedules and arranges own activities in accomplishing objectives. Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
