Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Contract Administrator based out of San Diego, CA supporting the Navigation, Intelligence and Connectivity Division's Dynamic Connectivity Solutions (DCS) Operating Unit. This position will be staffed as an in-office role and offers the 9/80 schedule.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 5 years experience in contract administration and management or related field (i.e. paralegal, etc.) OR Masters Degree plus a minimum of 3 years contract administration and management or related field (i.e. paralegal, etc.).
  • Experience using FAR/DFARS.
  • Experience working with various contract types such as Time & Material, Cost types, Firm Fixed Price, Other Transactions, etc.
  • Experience working with proposal development and negotiations.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance is required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in U.S. Government and/or Defense contract administration & management.
  • Experience working independently and collaborating with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Experience briefing internal and external customers
  • A current/active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and nonstandard contracts.
  • Provide advice to management of contractual rights and obligations, compile and analyze data, and maintain historical information as well as be self-motivated.
  • Have the ability to handle urgent situations from Northrop Grumman leadership and U.S. Government officials.
  • Participate in proposal preparation (review, analysis, interpretation & contractual advice on terms & conditions), contract negotiations, contract administration, review and approval of contractual documentation to protect the company and provide for proper contract acquisition in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
  • Provide contractual advice in accordance with company policies and procedures, and interface with both internal and external customers to ensure proper contract execution.
  • Serve as an external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
  • Ensures timely and compliant deliverables for all contracts assigned.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
