Acumetis is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Principal, Commercial Strategy to expand and elevate our Commercial Strategy practice. This executive leadership role is responsible for accelerating revenue growth, developing senior executive client relationships, and delivering transformative commercial solutions that drive successful launches, portfolio growth, and sustained in-market performance across the life sciences industry. As a senior member of the firm's leadership team, the Principal will be accountable for business development, practice growth, client satisfaction, talent development, and the continued evolution of Acumetis' Commercial Strategy offerings. The successful candidate will combine deep pharmaceutical commercialization expertise with a demonstrated ability to build businesses, lead high-performing teams, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. The Principal will help clients navigate critical commercialization decisions including brand strategy, launch planning, portfolio prioritization, market development, customer engagement, omnichannel transformation, and growth acceleration initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or other advanced degree preferred.
- 13+ years of progressive commercial consulting and/or pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Demonstrated success growing consulting practices, business units, or significant client portfolios.
- Established network of senior commercial decision-makers across pharmaceutical and biotechnology organizations.
- Strong track record of generating and closing consulting business.
- Deep expertise in commercialization strategy, launch planning, brand strategy, and market development.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional consulting engagements.
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, market expansion, and service innovation.
- Develop new offerings that differentiate Acumetis in the marketplace.
- Collaborate with leaders across Medical Affairs, Launch Excellence, Global Value & Access, Insights & Analytics, and Patient Access & Support Services to create integrated client solutions.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives and long-term business planning.
- Generate substantial new consulting revenue through executive-level business development.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior commercial leaders, commercial VPs, Brand Leaders, Launch Leaders, and Marketing Executives.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and develop new client accounts.
- Lead proposal development, solution design, contract negotiations, and executive presentations.
- Represent Acumetis at industry conferences, leadership forums, and client events.
- Serve as executive sponsor for key strategic client engagements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior commercial stakeholders.
- Guide clients through high-impact commercialization decisions, including: Brand strategy, Launch planning and readiness, Market assessment, Customer engagement strategy, Omnichannel transformation, Portfolio and lifecycle strategy, Commercial operating models, Growth acceleration initiatives.
- Ensure delivery excellence across engagements and client portfolios.
- Shape Acumetis' point of view on commercialization trends and industry challenges.
- Publish articles, white papers, and conference presentations.
- Build Acumetis' visibility and reputation within the life sciences community.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and evolving client needs.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture grounded in Acumetis values.
- Provide coaching and leadership to Principals, Senior Managers, Managers, and Consultants.
- Contribute to succession planning and organizational capability building.
