Principal Analog Design Engineer

Renesas Electronics•Duluth, GA

About The Position

Architect, design, and verify CMOS analog blocks for custom ASICs while meeting stringent performance, area, power, and timeline constraints. The work includes transmitter (Tx), receiver (Rx), PLL, and other high-precision analog circuits, with a focus on high-speed DDR I/O architecture and low-power circuit design. The engineer serves as a liaison between the Analog Design Team and Verification, Validation, and Test teams; analyzes silicon ATE and bench data against product specifications; and uses Excel, MATLAB, or scripts to process large datasets and identify actionable findings. The role collaborates with digital and systems engineers and other stakeholders to integrate analog and digital components. The position also provides technical guidance and mentorship, contributes to design best practices, verifies designs through simulation and testing, documents specifications and design work, and ensures designs and layouts meet applicable performance, reliability, matching, and standards requirements. The company describes itself as a global embedded semiconductor solution provider with more than 21,000 engineers and problem solvers in over 30 countries.
