Principal, Air Quality
About The Position
Ramboll is seeking an Air Quality Principal to join their Environment and Health department. This role will focus on providing technical and business leadership to develop innovative air quality solutions, contributing to the growth of the Houston business unit. The Principal will be responsible for generating business, managing consulting assignments, working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, and mentoring junior staff. The position involves managing projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations, preparing air permit applications, and conducting site visits.
Requirements
- B.S./M.S./Ph.D. degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences, or related discipline
- 15+ years of related air science experience, largely in a consulting environment
- Demonstrated capabilities in understanding, interpreting, and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
- Understanding of air quality issues and agency-approved methods and guidance
- Ability to externally manage client and regulatory agency relationships and internally manage staff and competing project priorities
- Demonstrated business development capabilities
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities
- Managing projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations
- Critically reviewing and interpreting local, state, and federal environmental regulations, compiling and drafting regulatory applicability determinations, and communicating findings, to co-workers, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Overseeing the preparation of comprehensive federal and state air permit application materials
- Testifying at administrative and/or court hearings
- Participating in local, national and international scientific and trade group meetings
- Conducting site visits
