Principal AI Performance Architect

Dell Technologies•Austin, TX

About The Position

Dell Technologies' Client Product Group is seeking a Principal AI Performance Architect to join the Thermal, Power, Performance, and Acoustics team in Austin, Texas. The role develops a forward-looking performance view for an assigned line of business within Dell's client PC portfolio. This includes forecasting platform performance targets, competitive shifts, and workload bottlenecks before product definition is finalized, helping Dell set requirements with silicon, operating-system, and ODM partners. The architect uses AI tools to scale analysis and benchmarking while owning judgment-based decisions, including performance target-setting, architecture trade-offs, and partner negotiations. The position works across performance, power efficiency, thermals, acoustics, and battery life, and supports engineering, product, and marketing teams as well as critical performance escalations. Dell describes its engineering mission as delivering differentiated products, experiences, and solutions. It also supports continued learning through tools and courses that build functional, technical, and leadership skills.
