About The Position

The Principal Agentic AI Architect will define and drive technology strategy for Financial Crime modernization initiatives. This role leads the design and deployment of generative AI and agentic solutions for investigator copilots, alert triage, suspicious activity report (SAR) narrative generation, and real-time risk assessments. It also drives the transition from legacy systems to cloud-native, event-driven microservices and API-first platforms. The architect establishes engineering standards, mentors senior teams, presents technology roadmaps to senior executives, and evaluates modern frameworks—including LLM orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and guardrails—while building high-impact proofs of concept. The position is based onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina, five days per week, and is a long-term contract.

Requirements

• 7+ years in software engineering and architecture, leading large-scale enterprise solutions.
• 5+ years delivering cloud-native or cloud-ready systems.
• 4+ years presenting technology strategy to C-level executives.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience developing or deploying AI-powered tools, LLMs, or agentic workflows.
• 4+ years of experience in Financial Services.
