About The Position

AWS is seeking an experienced Principal Strategic Account Manager to lead and continue to expand the business with one of our company’s largest and most strategic customers. The Principal Strategic Account Manager will be a key member of the team responsible for providing business leadership and creative direction for this highly visible customer. You will build and maintain broad relationships in the account, develop and manage opportunities, and lead a large team of extended resources. You will define the executive relationship strategy within the account; including building a strong working relationship with the AWS senior leadership team for executive sponsorship, executive business reviews, and shaping go-to-market opportunities. Requirements

  • 10+ years of technology related sales, business development or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences experience
  • Experience with AWS products and services
  • Bachelor's degree, or experience in a relevant field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach or equivalent
  • Experience negotiating complex deals with customers and partners or equivalent
  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans
  • 3+ years selling into or directly supporting large scale, global ERP customers as account manager, CSM, PDM, TAM or services sales leader
  • 100-200 level understanding of Data, Analytics, and GenAI
  • Track record of driving infrastructure adoption and workload migration for high-growth technology companies

Responsibilities

  • Increase technology adoption and creating long term transformational account strategies
  • Build strategic relationships within the account and articulate a clear vision with impact across all business groups
  • Identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology projects to global business units
  • Work will all appropriate AWS resources (Executives, Solutions Architects, Business Development, CSM's, TAM's, Partners, and Professional Services)
