About The Position

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is hiring a Principal Engineer in Design Engineering to support aircraft engine component design across the design cycle, from preliminary and detailed design through validation, manufacturing, and operational service. The role may involve components within the Fan/low-pressure compressor and/or high-pressure compressor modules, including rotors, airfoils, cases, frames, and kinematics. The engineer will support existing installed MCE fleets by improving component commonality and optimization, while expanding repairability and maintainability for customers and MRO facilities. The role also supports investigation, testing, and verification of field issues, and contributes to consistent procedures and standard work across the organization. The position is part of Compression Systems Engineering, which designs, develops, and supports fans and low- and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models, and identifies and matures new technologies. The position is onsite in Middletown, Connecticut. U.S. citizenship is required; no security clearance is required.
