About The Position

This role is responsible for mixing and measuring paint according to specifications, preparing parts for painting, and applying paint in a booth. The painter will also be responsible for maintaining the paint booth, changing filters, and completing necessary paperwork. Post-paint inspections for appearance and coverage are required. The position involves painting on various surfaces and metals, adapting to complex situations, and adhering to safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining paint equipment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (Required)
• 1+ year of relevant experience
• Must be able to train in other shifts before going to assigned scheduled shift

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure paint per specifications.
• Review work order and confirm mixed paint and part match prior to painting.
• Clean parts as per specification.
• Paint parts according to specification and thickness.
• Keep paint booth filters changed and booth FOD free.
• Complete paperwork.
• Perform post-paint inspection of parts for appearance and proper coverage.
• Apply advanced skills to adapt and meet complex or non-routine situations.
• Observe safety regulations and wear protective masks and clothing during spray painting operations.
• Complete the paint daily checklist.
• Properly utilize all PPE required under OSHA Guidelines.
• Maintain all paint equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
