About The Position

As a Prime Financing Trading Analyst on Coinbase’s Institutional Prime Finance team, you will help manage and grow the institutional financing book across lending, margin, and shorting products. The team is building a full-service prime brokerage platform to help institutions deploy trading strategies and achieve capital efficiency at scale. You will trade day to day across the financing desk, optimize net interest margin, and work directly with hedge funds, ETF issuers, market makers, UHNW individuals, and corporates to deliver bespoke financing solutions.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in equity or fixed income financing, prime brokerage, or derivatives at a bank, broker-dealer, or crypto exchange.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar programming languages applied to trading analytics, pricing models, or data analysis.
Demonstrated knowledge of fiat and crypto funding market fundamentals, including repo, securities lending, and margin financing mechanics.
Ability to communicate clearly with institutional clients and internal stakeholders while managing competing priorities with urgency.
Responsible use of generative AI, with human oversight, to deliver business-ready outputs and measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

Trade the financing book daily, managing long- and short-side liquidity across Prime Financing and CB Institutional products.
Optimize net interest margin on principal borrow and lend activity through active position management and pricing adjustments.
Support asset and client pricing for financing implementation across lending, margin, and shorting products.
Engage directly with institutional clients, including hedge funds, ETF issuers, market makers, UHNW individuals, and corporates, to structure financing solutions.
Build and refine custom client solutions that improve onboarding, internal processes, and the overall client experience.
