Primary Therapist (LPC, APC, LMSW, LCSW)
About The Position
Atlanta Recovery Place (ARP) is seeking a Primary Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services to clients in a substance use and mental health treatment setting. The role is suited to clinicians who are clinically strong, proactive, and passionate about recovery-focused care. ARP provides personalized, structured aftercare supporting lasting recovery through mental, physical, and emotional healing, within a collaborative, compassionate, client-centered team environment. The position is on-site and follows a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. The salary is $50,000+ annually, based on experience. Accepted licenses include LPC, APC, LMSW, LCSW, and LMFT.
Requirements
- Active Georgia licensure or associate-level license: APC, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or LCSW.
- At least 1 year of experience working with high-acuity mental health clients.
- Experience leading group therapy and providing individual and family therapy.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-based environment.
- High level of initiative, professionalism, and clinical judgment.
Nice To Haves
- 3–5 years of experience in substance use and/or mental health treatment.
- CPI and CPR/First Aid certification; training is provided if needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy services.
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and determine clinical appropriateness for treatment.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment and service plans.
- Monitor client behavior and progress throughout treatment.
- Deliver crisis intervention services and follow established protocols.
- Conduct intake interviews and make referral recommendations as needed.
- Document services accurately and in compliance with clinical standards.
- Communicate significant incidents to the Clinical Director.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
