About The Position

Wonderful College Prep Academy (WCPA) is seeking a Primary School Elective Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. WCPA is a free, public charter network in California’s Central Valley dedicated to providing a world-class education. Our mission is to foster a nurturing, engaging, community-centered school environment where students develop a strong academic foundation, preparing them to become critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Students benefit from innovative learning experiences, technology, and a focus on health and wellness, including on-site wellness centers, over 30 sports teams, learning farms, teaching kitchens, and a modern dining hall. WCPA also offers the Wonderful Career Pathways program, allowing students to earn college credits and an associate degree while in high school. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, required
  • Current California Teaching Credential
  • Commitment to our organization's mission and educational philosophy
  • Entrepreneurial spirit capable of managing many complex tasks with competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
  • Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Self-reflective individual who solicits performance feedback and constructive criticism
  • Flexible and adaptable, open to new ideas, and adjusts plans to meet changing needs
  • Ability to solve problems strategically and independently
  • Meets professional commitments in a timely manner

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
  • Classroom teaching experience, preferred

  • Demonstrates commitment to the community by communicating regularly with families and attending key community events
