About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor coordinates patient care activities for the respective shift. The Nursing Supervisor coordinates diagnostic procedures and/or surgeries outside of regular hours. The Nursing Supervisor Is responsible as the administrative representative and/or manager in the absence of the VP of Nursing. Needs a working knowledge of the medical/legal rules and regulations as they apply to the organization. Will be responsible for the overall direction of the nursing personnel. As well as, responsible to the VP of Nursing.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Evidence of continuing education appropriate for a nursing supervisor
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Current RN license in the State of Oregon
  • IV certification
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC or Team Oregon
  • NIMS training
  • CPI training
  • Possesses knowledge of the scope and complexity of the patient’s age-specific, cultural, physical, and psychosocial well-being served by the hospital
  • Mathematical computational skills
  • Able to communicate therapeutically
  • Self motivated
  • Responsible
  • Role model
  • Well organized

Nice To Haves

  • BSN
  • Previous nursing supervisor experience
  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse population
