The Nursing Supervisor (RN) position's overall goal is to oversee the nursing programs and home health care staff (employees and contractors) of the nursing services department. This role involves setting and implementing guidelines for home health clinical programs. The job focuses on providing supervisory support, including field visits with staff, training, chart audits, staff competency reviews, and performing visits. Additionally, the supervisor assists field staff with case review and patient oversight and coordination of care. The scope and objective include overseeing nursing programs, nursing services, and nursing staff accountability, providing high-quality patient care, educating and training nursing staff (RN, LPN, CNA), addressing care and nursing staff issues, establishing performance improvements, and initiating programs for agency growth. The position also assures compliance and assists management with proper oversight of nursing services, performs accurate and competent patient admissions and treatments, and evaluates nursing staff’s performance.
