About The Position

Centurion is seeking a per diem Primary Care Provider to cover shifts at correctional facilities in and around Metropolitan Minnesota. The provider fills in as needed when clinics are open Monday through Friday.

The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations; treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues; provides and supervises treatment for chronic medical conditions; and participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent patient diseases and injuries in a correctional setting. The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services.

Centurion Health contracts with state and local governments nationwide to provide comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration with prescriptive authority, or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to pass credentialing and a background check.
