About The Position

Legacy Health is recruiting outpatient physicians for our primary care clinics located in South Portland. Providers in these clinics include physicians and advanced practitioners, all of whom have been a part of Legacy for several years. Our primary care providers are supported by designated MA’s and care teams that can include panel coordinators, social workers, RN case managers, behavioral health clinicians, pharmacy techs and pharmacists. This is a 100% outpatient clinical practice with unmatched Epic/EHR support through our unique Super Thrive Program. The role involves working in collaboration with a team of providers and offers opportunities in rural health clinics to qualify for a special location stipend. Living in the South Portland Metro Area offers the amenities of suburban living, including top schools, extensive sports programs, nature trails, great restaurants, golf courses and wineries, with a ten-minute drive to downtown Portland. The public school districts in Lake Oswego, Tualatin, West Linn and Wilsonville are all highly rated, and there is short travel distance to the Oregon Coast, Mount Hood and Columbia River Gorge, with access to many parks for hiking. Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Graduate of a four-year medical school or equivalent and completed internal or family medicine residency.
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in internal or family medicine.
  • Current Oregon state medical license and DEA certificate.
  • Unrestricted Oregon medical license.
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing clinical history
  • Providing the physical examination
  • Diagnosing and treating both chronic and episodic disorders
  • Work in collaboration with the team
  • Maintain own panel of patients
  • Share call coverage for the clinic
