About The Position

Humana is seeking a Primary Care Physician for its CenterWell University City office in Charlotte, North Carolina. This full-time, onsite role provides comprehensive outpatient care to adult and senior patients within a senior-focused, value-based care model. The physician diagnoses and manages moderately to complex medical conditions, maintains accurate medical records, and coordinates referrals while collaborating with specialists. The position reports to the Associate Medical Director.

CenterWell Senior Primary Care provides proactive, preventive services to seniors, including wellness visits, physical exams, chronic condition management, screenings, and minor injury treatment. Its integrated care teams focus on personalized care and patient well-being.

Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted North Carolina medical license.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine.
• At least 2 years of experience in value-based care or managing high-acuity geriatric patients.
• Participation in a Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with senior populations or in value-based care settings.
• Experience supervising Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs).
