About The Position

One Medical is hiring a per diem, hourly Primary Care Physician to provide outpatient primary care in its Oakland Uptown office and other nearby offices. The role involves 8–23 patient care hours per week and is not a panel-building position. The physician will care for patients with a broad range of needs through acute, chronic, and preventive well visits, primarily in person, with occasional telehealth visits. The role includes collaboration with in-office teammates and virtual clinical teams, use of clinical training for in-office procedures, and willingness to obtain additional state licensure and credentialing for virtual primary care in other states. Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency, have practiced for at least two of the last five years in outpatient primary care, and be state licensed in California before starting. They must be board certified or meet the stated board-eligibility and exam-scheduling criteria. One Medical seeks clinicians with a commitment to human-centered, evidence-based care, effective communication across backgrounds, comfort using technology, teamwork, openness to feedback, and adaptability in uncertain situations. This is an hourly role with a stated rate of $177.00. Starting pay may vary based on practice experience and patient-care schedule, and additional pay may be available for candidates who exceed the specified qualifications and requirements. The total compensation package may also include benefits. The posting notes that regular team members working 24 or more hours per week and their dependents are eligible for the listed benefits starting on the date of hire; the role itself is listed as 8–23 patient care hours per week.
