About The Position
Bitterroot Health is seeking a Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) to work in its Primary Care Clinics in a rural Montana setting. The physician will join a collegial, collaborative team and provide high-quality, full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages. The role includes caring for an established patient panel and diagnosing and treating acute conditions, managing chronic diseases, and providing preventive care. The physician will recommend evidence-based treatments—including lifestyle adjustments, medications, and health regimens—to promote patients’ physical and mental wellness. The position offers a flexible schedule with a four-day work week, mentorship and opportunities for leadership and professional growth, and program support. OB call and ED call are not required. Hospitalist coverage is available, but adult inpatient coverage is not required; inpatient pediatrics call is shared among more than 10 physician colleagues. The role uses Cerner (Oracle) EHR. A signing bonus is offered, with eligibility for additional bonuses beyond base compensation based on quality outcomes, patient experience, and production. The position is at a Federal National Health Service Corps site with an HRSA Primary Care score of 16 for Ravalli County.
