About The Position

Centurion is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician at the Suwannee Correctional Institution Annex in Live Oak, Florida. The Physician provides medical assessments and evaluations; treats emergent, urgent, and routine medical issues; and provides and supervises treatment for chronic medical conditions. The Physician also participates in organizational initiatives to help prevent diseases and injuries among patients in a correctional setting.

The Physician works under the direction of the Site Medical Director and/or Statewide Medical Director and collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license, or ability to obtain one.
• Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration, or ability to obtain it.
• Ability to pass credentialing and a background check.

• Leadership or directorship experience preferred.
