Rhode Island Primary Care Physician’s Corporation (RIPCPC) is the largest independent provider association of primary and pediatric care in Rhode Island, serving over 200,000 residents. RIPCPC provides essential support services for high-quality, cost-effective medicine and preserves community-based practices. In 2023, RIPCPC became a key east coast hub for healthcare innovation within the Akido Care medical network. RIPC Medical Group is looking for a Primary Care Physician to join a growing, physician-led medical group focused on high-quality, value-based care in a fully outpatient setting. This role involves caring for a diverse patient population with a full range of primary care services. The physician will work with a collaborative team, receiving strong clinical and operational support, enabling a focus on patient care through modern care models and technology. Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school (required)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (required)
- Hold an active, unrestricted Rhode Island medical license or be eligible to obtain one (required)
- Commitment to patient-centered, value-based care (required)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage a broad range of primary care conditions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfort working in a team-based, technology-enabled care environment

- Interest in quality improvement and population health initiatives (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the full lifespan
- See 16–20 patients per day in a 100% outpatient setting
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with value-based care principles
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and care teams to coordinate care and improve outcomes
- Manage an assigned patient panel, including preventive care and chronic disease management
- Participate in care coordination and quality improvement initiatives
- Utilize EMR to document care and manage patient records
- Incorporate in-office procedures based on experience and interest (optional)
- Provide after-hours call coverage for your patient panel (shared model may be available)
- Engage in team-based care and contribute to a supportive, collaborative practice environment
