About The Position

OptumCare is seeking a PGY3 Family Medicine or Internal Medicine resident, or a physician completing a fellowship, for its Primary Care Pathway Program. This temporary role is intended for third-year physician residents who are interested in pursuing a full-time position with the group after completing residency. Participants receive education and preparation for population health models, along with exposure to primary care in a team-based practice setting at New West facilities and/or virtually. The customized program requires a commitment of a few hours per month. The program offers financial and mentoring support during the final year of training and helps residents develop skills for the transition from residency to private practice. Participants commit to a practice group and location, allowing them to focus on residency rather than a job search. Their education and residency program remain the priority. The program is designed to enhance the final-year residency experience and support work-life balance.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O.
Must be transitioning into the third year of residency, early in the third year, or completing a fellowship.
