About The Position

The Primary Care and Specialty Sales Consultant (SC) is responsible for implementing sales strategies for an approved Cardiorenal product and driving launch activities for a newly launched menopause product. The role involves increasing demand, providing clinical education, and driving sales by developing and executing a strategic business plan targeting Primary Care Physicians and Endocrinologists, primarily in community settings. The position reports to the CVR Area General Manager (AGM) and is part of the Area Customer Squad, collaborating with internal partners like Marketing, Market Access, and Patient Services to achieve US Pharma outcomes. The territory covers Northern Colorado along the I-25 corridor, including Scotts Bluff, NE, and Cheyenne, WY. Travel is up to 50%, and the candidate must reside in or around Denver.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance in a sales role or other relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in developing long-standing relationships with customers.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to foster an environment that promotes ethical behavior and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Ability to comply with any customer credentialing and safety requirements (e.g., up-to-date vaccinations, trainings).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop professional relationships with primary care physicians, pharmacy staff, and other assigned customers.
  • Drive appropriate utilization of approved cardiovascular and menopause products by working with the Customer Squad to generate pull-through within local payers and community HCPs.
  • Leverage expertise in the diabetes and menopause marketplace, competitor landscape, and industry trends to manage business opportunities and challenges.
  • Provide input to sales leadership and regional account managers for strategic and tactical planning.
  • Develop and implement customer-specific business plans and communicate insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Prioritize time and effort to ensure optimal coverage of appropriate physician specialists based on opportunity and potential.
  • Understand and meet assigned customers' product and business needs while adhering to Bayer's ethics and compliance standards.
  • Anticipate potential barriers to achieving goals and propose solutions.
  • Handle customer objections effectively and exceed customer expectations.
  • Share exemplary skills with others in the region in a training capacity.
  • Leverage and embrace emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency.
  • Understand and comply with pharmaceutical industry guidelines and regulations, applying high ethical standards.
