About The Position

Join Bureau Veritas as a Prill Process Laboratory Technician and play a key role in supporting the analysis of mineral samples within a high-volume laboratory environment. Working alongside an experienced team, you’ll assist with analysis of precious metals following the fire assay processes, sample analysis and the delivery of accurate results for our clients. Monday to Friday roster with 2 Hours overtime per week.

Requirements

Previous laboratory experience is desirable, ideally within minerals, mining or a related industry.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing accurate results.
Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a laboratory environment
Reliable, team-focused, and able to manage competing priorities.
Enthusiastic about learning new skills and developing a long-term career in laboratory operations.

Defence experience is desirable

Responsibilities

Conduct prill digestions following fire assay and prill processing procedures.
Operate AAS and ICP to generate assay results.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Ensure accurate weighing and recording of samples and results.
Assist in delivering quality assay results within required turnaround times.
Adhere to all safety, quality and laboratory compliance requirements.
Support the laboratory supervisor and wider team with daily laboratory operations.
