About The Position

CommScope is seeking a Pricing Specialist to join their team in Shakopee, Minnesota. This role will partner with the NAR Sales Teams to support the Enterprise market with project pricing and sales support for CommScope products, primarily the SYSTIMAX, Uniprise, and NETCONNECT brands. The specialist will review competitive and strategic information, develop pricing strategies, analyze project profitability, and communicate pricing information to partners and the sales team. They will also monitor competitor prices and recommend adjustments.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in a related curriculum.
  • A minimum of 2 years of related customer service experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of related sales/sales support experience.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and respond to incoming requests from Business Partners and Sales team for project pricing in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve registrations for project support from Business Partners.
  • Manage project discounts to secure projects and meet financial targets for profitability, average sell price, and contribution.
  • Monitor and modify pricing for all Business Partners (Distributors and VARs) to prevent duplicate discounts.
  • Calculate and analyze project profitability using current cost and price information.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of pricing and general knowledge of production and technical matters related to pricing.
  • Cross-reference competitor products with CommScope products and provide pricing.
  • Audit and monitor incoming Distributor requests for credit against quoted pricing.
  • Verify and report on competitive activity, including product offerings, pricing, and other relevant information.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert to address questions and resolve conflicts related to project pricing.
  • Ensure the security of all pricing data, records, and reports, and maintain accuracy of input into the computer system.
  • Provide detailed pricing analyses as requested by Sales and Product Management teams.
  • Partner with the Product Management team to complete special pricing-related duties.
  • Offer innovative advice on utilizing existing computer data for various analysis needs.
