Pricing & Quotation Specialist

About The Position

This role is responsible for completing cost analysis of all product lines and managing the quoting process. The specialist will ensure feasibility, costing, issue resolution, and contingency planning are accomplished prior to quotation, and that quote turn-around time meets company metrics. The position involves organizing and submitting pricing proposals, following up on quotations to determine win/loss reasons, and preparing reports for management. The specialist will also act as a liaison between Business Development, Customer Service, and Engineering, and participate in cross-functional team activities. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Complete cost analysis of all product lines.
  • Complete quoting process with part description, part cost, tools needed, cost of tools and lead-time.
  • Ensure feasibility, costing, issue resolution, and contingency planning is accomplished prior to quotation.
  • Ensure quote turn-around time is in line with company metrics.
  • Organize and submit pricing proposals to Customer Service, Sales or directly to customers.
  • Follow up on quotations to determine win/loss reasons.
  • Prepare reports to update Management on the status of quotes and new business.
  • Act as a functional liaison between Business Development, Customer Service and Engineering.
  • Participate in cross-functional team activities.
  • All other duties as assigned.
