About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining compliance with DOL regulations as required under the FLSA, performing time studies for costing products and services, and establishing pricing for products and services in collaboration with the Production Coordinator and the Director of Vocational Services. The specialist will monitor and communicate price adjustments, gather supporting documentation for market comparisons, and track the cost of raw goods to ensure competitive pricing. Additionally, the role involves identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, collaborating with internal teams to ensure vendor compliance, and maintaining accurate pricing records on websites and with business partners. The position also requires completing annual prevailing wage rate surveys, maintaining job code listings, assisting with NYSID commodity reports, and providing coverage for floor supervisors as needed. A key responsibility includes completing the 14c Special Certificate application every two years and performing time studies for supported individuals to generate wage rates and productivity levels.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience working in manufacturing or production setting
  • Must have computer skills with knowledge in excel and word
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with DOL regulations as required under the FLSA for the Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence.
  • Maintain compliance with NYSID and Source America regulations.
  • Work in conjunction with the Production Coordinator and the Director of Vocational Services to establish pricing for products and services.
  • Monitor and communicate to the Administrator of Vocational Services when a price adjustment is needed.
  • Gather all necessary supporting documentation for the prevailing market comps.
  • Complete pricing forms and submit all necessary documentation for price adjustments to the administrator of Vocational Services when needed.
  • Track and monitor the cost of raw goods to ensure the prices of all products remain competitive.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for raw materials through market research, online databases, industry directories, and networking.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and quality teams to ensure selected vendors meet technical and compliance requirements.
  • Perform time studies for pricing products and services and establish quotas and standards for productivity.
  • Keep a log of all current pricing and ensure it is updated on all websites; including with business partners.
  • Save all pricing packets for each product and service.
  • Complete prevailing wage rate surveys annually and maintain all documents associated with the survey.
  • Maintain job code listings and coordinate with accounting departments.
  • Assist with gathering information for NYSID commodity reports.
  • Provide coverage for the floor supervisors as needed.
  • Complete the application for the 14c. Special Certificate every two years.
  • Complete time studies for the people we support and generate wage rates and productivity levels every six months or as needed.
  • Act as liaison between Accounting Department and supervisors to ensure payroll information is accurate and timely and generate production sheets to the Accounting Department for non-taxable payroll.
