Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Library and Information Science, Business Administration, or related fields
3+ years of corporate or law firm (preferred) experience in billing, rates, or related role
Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and Word
Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Responsibilities

Liaise with Client Accounting Team globally to obtain information regarding client negotiated billing arrangements
Communicate client billing arrangements and client billing requirements to assist with client negotiations and financial analysis
Create rate cards based on client negotiations
Prepare, maintain, and audit rate sets in accounting system (Aderant)
Work with E-billing to prepare rate sheets for client submission based on agreed rates
Provide training and support to Global Client Accounting Team with rates application
Maintain accurate information in the firm’s matter intake system, i.e., client group, currency, addresses, billing coordinator, billing arrangement information, time increments
Ensure firm compliance with client negotiated billing arrangements and client outside counsel policy by creating guidelines in accounting system, including red flag words, rules and advance premium/discount set ups
