The individual serves as a senior broker and trusted advisor to key law firm clients while driving the growth, profitability, and strategic direction of the practice across all FINEX product lines. The role also carries responsibility for developing talent, strengthening market relationships, enhancing broking capabilities, and representing WTW as a thought leader within the legal industry.

Requirements

  • Licenses as required by state law
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in the P&C insurance brokerage sector
  • Experience in design, implementation, and delivery of insurance programs for large and middle-market clients utilizing various structures
  • Extensive knowledge of the LPL insurance market
  • Ability to understand client and technical issues and capability to solve
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
  • Proven ability to design and execute strategies – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
  • Ability to function as an ambassador for the law firm team and the company
  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an ability to drive the North America Broking and Company strategies
  • BA/BS degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serves as executive sponsor on key law firm accounts and lead broker on others.
  • Leads a collaborative process focused on building out risk management capabilities and plays a key role in the continued development and leadership of the practice.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and oversight to the Law Firm practice team, with responsibility for talent development, performance, and team execution.
  • Has responsibility for the financial performance of the Law Firm practice, including revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Oversees all FINEX product lines serving law firm clients, not solely Lawyers Professional Liability (LPL).
  • Reviews and refines placement processes to aid in client retention and build a foundation for growth.
  • Acts as a law firm thought leader (e.g., contributes to Law Firm content, attends industry conferences as a WTW representative).
  • Executes key Global and North America broking initiatives.
  • Ensures broking best practices are applied consistently.
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop client strategies that deepen, broaden, and build profitable relationships with key buyers.
  • Maintains senior executive-level relationships at insurers to effectively escalate broking and claims issues and achieve favorable outcomes and resolutions.
  • Assists Producers and other sellers, including participating in high-profile RFPs.
  • Ensures colleagues are adequately trained and equipped to successfully serve clients and uphold market integrity.
